From
1982-84 I studied psychology and pedagogy at Uppsala University in
order to become a dog psychologist. Since then my path has been crossed
by numerous dog trainers and various teaching methods.
I
have chosen to avoid subscribing to any particular school of thought or
ideology when it comes to dog training and coaching. My goal is to try
to help all dogs, no matter what breed, mentality or size. Beeing
knowledgeable about all breeds of dogs and their history is both fun
and interesting. But more than that, it's essential in order for me to
understand and help all the dogs I come into contact with on a daily
basis.
I have trained dogs
as an occupation since 1984: family dogs, field dogs, problematic dogs
– the list is endless. At the end of the 1980s my former husband
and I trained sniffer dogs to detect mould and tree rot in
association with the Swedish Ministry of Agriculture.
In
1992 I was asked to write a book on agility. Unfortunately, this book
is now out of print, but my following eight books and a DVD can be
found in most bookshops – as well as on this website. My tenth
book is due for release in Autumn 2009. |
